On the Trail of the McGillicuddies

The McGillicuddy Serious Party (NZ) was disbanded in 1999 with the public tarring and feathering of the Laird McGillicuddy, leaving only a few lost fragments floating around the internet. They advocated the "Great Leap Backwards", a return to a rural feudal existence, and anything else silly enough.

The McGillicuddy Highland Army was never formally disbanded, but became inactive for a time. Since 2002 they have been active again in Takaka, staging extended bi-annual camping events involving street theater, performance art, and battles. ALF's Imperial Army would like to hear from any units wishing to take the field again.

The Clan McGillicuddy still exists, and holds regular social outings. It appears to be concentrated around a farm in the Hamilton region, and around Takaka.
