Extant, reproduction and modern

In early 2019, I was fortunate to be given a handful of aglets that have been found in the mud along the river Thames in London. Shown below, you can compare the extant aglets, reproduction ones I have made, and a modern commercial aglet. The extant aglets are all missing their cords, which will have rotted away in the mud and water. They probably date from somewhere between the 14th and 18th century CE.
